What Men Want From A Relationship
What drives most guys is the desire to be respected. This can be seen in a male from childhood; since the time he was little (e.g. a boy’s dreadful feeling for being picked last or near to last fot a sports game). His economic status is highly linked to his social status and this success provides an easy and fast ticket to respect.
To obtain respect, a guy will do many and may do anything to see that he gets respect from his friends, family, and people around him, even his enemies. In contrast to this, most girls desire to be loved, most girls like humor, but try not to say too many sarcastic jokes with a guy. Nagging upsets a guy, but constructive silence weakens him.
A girl acting cute in front of another guy she is interested in won’t really succeed in getting that guy she likes. But you need to understand also that even if you give a guy all the respect he deserves, he still may not be interested in you as a girlfriend. But if you in any slight chance start treating him disrespectfully, chances are a guy will always leave you. So from the beginning, even as friends, treat the guy with utmost respect and things will be more harmonious.
A note of warning to you, don’t wound a guy’s ego, avoid laughing at his hobbies, especially his sport skills or his job competence. Guys love it when they are affirmed by the opposite sex.
Generally, guys want achievements and productivity. A guy’s desire to be respected cannot be overemphasized. He takes great pride in what he can do, or accomplish, and defines who he is in this way. This is the key to your relationship with guys, if you can understand this, understand him; your relationship with guys will be a lot smoother and better.
