Dogs are believed to be the descendants of wild wolves. Perhaps this is a perfectly good explanation to why dogs look like wolfs. Wolves were adopted as cubs from their habitats by ancient men and raised as pets. The pet wolves were useful in driving away other wild animals.

Labrador Retriever
The Labrador Retrievers or labs for short are known for its chewing habits; it is addicted to chewing at all time. You will need to get lots of chewing toys and bones in order to save your shoes and cushions. They are assistance dogs breed and trained to aid blind and autistic people.
Labs have colours that range from black, chocolate, to yellow, and deliver 5-10 puppies with an average of 7.6. Labradors have a life span of 12-13 years.
Siberian Husky
These breed do not bark, they tend to howl and bore easily. They are not good watchdogs and will be friendly to almost anyone. They are most lively and happy when in group and around family members. Huskies tend to be aggressive towards cats and they eat very little compared to other dogs.
Huskies are strong and the colour of the nose depends on the colour of their coat. With the help of their coat, huskies can withstand temperatures as low as -50 to -70 degrees and this coat shed heavily twice a year. Their life expectancy is about 12-15 years.
German Shepherd
The German Shepherd is a police dog and regarded as the world’s leading police and guard dog. Though fearless, they are very affectionate to those they regard as family members but will be likely to make the first move against strangers. They are very easy to train.
The German Shepherd is well proportioned and very strong with a sturdy, muscular, slightly elongated body and a light, solid bone structure. There are three varieties of the German shepherd; double coat, plush coat, and longhaired coat. They are inactive indoors and do best with at least a large yard. They have a life span of 13 years.
Golden Retriever
Golden Retrievers are world’s most forgiving disposition. They are lovable well-mannered, intelligent dogs with a great charm. They are always patient and gentle with children and serve as a popular family dog.
Their ability to forgive and keep loving and trusting people is legendary. You can abuse or abandon a Golden but it won’t affect for any great length of time. Whether you come home few hours late, forget his dinner bowl, or accidentally step on his tail, he’ll forget it ever happened once you smile at him.
This breed will do okay in an apartment if sufficiently exercised. They are moderately active indoors and are prone to cancer including mast cell tumors, hip dysplasia, von willebrand’s disease, skin allergies and gain weight easily; do not overfeed. Their life expectancy is about 10-12 years
Bulldog
The stubborn bulldog always wants to be close to the owner and often time you can’t stop him from sleeping on the bed. They are usually silent and bark only when it is necessary. They get along with everybody but bond to one particular person. Bulldogs are companion dogs and needs lots of attention and mostly love from their owner.
The English Bulldog is a wide, medium sized compact dog with short legs. Their life expectancy is an average of 8 years while others live shorter.
