The Wolf-Stories
In the cold region of the white snowy attic in South America there lived a pack of wolf.
The omega is the leader of the pack called Uziah,
he heads the hunt for reliable kill to feed the family and for security.
He is white as snow and is called the spirit of snow and winter by the wild Indians who encountered his presence and aura. He is the perfect hunter and blends into the snow because of his color.
One in such power would never forget his contenders in a hurry. The second in command Gander, whose hunger for power betrays his purpose.

One fateful day Uziah led the pack on a hunt near a river where deer graze on the newly sprung grass and for a refreshing drink. He commanded Gander, to position them in a triangle formation in a bush and not to attack unless they have identified and singled out the game.
Gander obeyed the first command and disregarded the second. He was ready to impress the pack and dethrone Uziah, little did he know that leadership takes more than a single show off.
All of them were in position waiting for Uziah to identify their target so they would attack the game. Suddenly, Gander lunched out of the bush and attacked.
Uziah called and called screaming “Gander no, Gander don’t” but Gander didn’t hark, he maintained his speed and vented a crashing attack on the deer. Uziah saw that the dear was too big for him to wrestle down.
He then called his pack to assist and in the process of bringing down the deer, Uziah sustained a flesh wound on his back leg. They brought home their kill and the little fox puppies were fed.
The next morning, Uziah couldn’t walk; he was still recovering from the wound the foolishness of Gander had caused him. He cowered in his hut near the fireside. He could not run, he could not hunt.
The moment Gander was waiting for his whole life was finally here. He was the one that led the pack to a hunt. Soon the attention of the pack was concentrated on Gander and their love and the name Uziah faded from the pack’s tongue.
Uziah, poor soul was left to tend for his wound, in his loneliness feel the sting of betrayal for his sacrificial leadership.
But soon good leadership came back with healing and bad leadership well with hurting. Gander made the same mistake that caused Uziah to be wounded and old flames were rekindled, Daria a female fox was injured and the game was lost.
The pack returned home hungry with no spoils of a hunt, no game. The puppies lay hungry through the night. Uziah, a true leader limped and limped and dug some old carcass he had buried in ground. It was what the puppies fed on until sunrise.
In the morning of breathing frost the pack went back to their true leader Uziah, by then he had completely healed and Gander was banished not because he wants to be the leader of the pack but because he is hurting others to achieve it.
