Short Stories-The Shepherd


In the rainy days of July, on a tiny rock in the Bahamas there lived a herdsman named Alanna, he is small and smaller than his stick that stands taller on the earth than him.


He has thirty sheep and two dogs all with fleeting white wool that hangs on their back.
One faithful day began with peace, the sun smiled a noon of clear skies and grazing was more promising to a shepherd who knows how to read the skies.

Allana, haven’t sighed the horizon went out with his flock, up the mountain they went, and over for in the passing between the mountains, lushly green grasses sprung.

The sun still smiled and this time Allana have had of the secret cold spring hidden in the rocks in a near by mountain rumored by shepherds, he gathered the flock and set his trained dogs to guard them while they graze the green.

Soon, soon the sky removed its smile and a hoard of dark cloud hovered and threatened in thunderous roar. Allana, was enjoying a cold spring bath sighing from the madness of the heat.

Panic arose amidst the flock as the eyes of the gloomy sky began to cry rains from its heaven. The shepherd Dogs they did their best to gather the flock together, but the sheep sort for shelter and ran in all directions.

Alanna returned from his bath and found his flock scattered across the valley without direction, he quickly called on his guard Dogs to round up the scattered sheep.

The Dogs obeyed their master’s call and that was how Allana lead his sheep through the mountains pass in the rain and to home safely.
